IDA fact sheets are convenient, professionally reviewed materials designed to improve understanding and support advocacy initiatives. Fact sheets are frequently used to enrich and supplement IEP meetings, school board discussions, and district policy initiatives. IDA publishes these in both English and Spanish:
Infographics
IDA infographics help make complex information easy to digest, remember, and share and are made for a wide audience both those individuals new to dyslexia and related literacy/learning issues and the experts. Please share our infographics and our fact sheets to raise awareness about dyslexia and to help support the policy and practice changes needed to bring effective instruction (particularly in reading) to every child with dyslexia in every classroom across the nation.
Perspectives on Language and Literacy
An official publication of the International Dyslexia Association, Perspectives on Language and Literacy is published quarterly and features practical articles for educators and other professionals dedicated to the identification and intervention of dyslexia and other related learning differences. Perspectives on Language and Literacy is published free of charge to IDA members and is mailed quarterly.
Examiner
The Examiner, a monthly e-letter from the International Dyslexia Association, keeps you abreast of happenings at IDA and on top of dyslexia and literacy-related events and information in the field and around the world! All IDA members and Examiner subscribers receive our e-letter free of charge.
Annals of Dyslexia – Member Exclusive
IDA Members have access to the Springer publication Annals of Dyslexia.
IDA’s tri-annual Annals of Dyslexia is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the scientific study of dyslexia, theory-based practices on remediation, and intervention of dyslexia and related areas of written language disorders, including spelling, composing, and mathematics. Annals publishes original empirical studies, significant reviews, and well-documented reports of evidence-based effective practices. Annals of Dyslexia is available to Teacher, Professional and President Circle members.
Dyslexia Connection
Dyslexia Connection is an e-newsletter published by the International Dyslexia Association that provides parents and families with current information related to dyslexia. Members of IDA receive Dyslexia Connection throughout the year.
Global Partners Handbook
The Global Partner members of IDA are international organizations that work with the Home Office and Branches of IDA to support this important mission worldwide. To create an additional platform for all GPs to share their efforts and challenges with the rest of the world on a regular basis, the IDA Global Partners Committee has initiated an annual publication, IDA Global Partners Handbook: Responding to Dyslexia Around the World, a resource for anyone from anywhere in the world to learn more about dyslexia.
Reading and Writing – Member Exclusive
IDA Members have access to the Springer publication Reading and Writing Journal.
Reading and Writing publishes high-quality, scientific articles pertaining to the processes, acquisition, and loss of reading and writing skills. The journal fully represents the necessarily interdisciplinary nature of research in the field, focusing on the interaction among various disciplines, such as linguistics, information processing, neuropsychology, cognitive psychology, speech and hearing science and education.
